Hallucinogen Persistent Perceptual Disorder

Hallucinogen Persistent Perceptual Disorder is a disorder characterized by a continuous presence of visual disturbances reminiscent of those generated by the ingestion of hallucinogenic substances, if you have HPPD you will suffer from hallucinations. Prior use of hallucinogens by the person is necessary, though not sufficient, to diagnose someone with the disorder. For an individual diagnosed with HPPD, the symptoms cannot be due to another medical condition, in fact HPPD is distinct from psychological flashbacks for reasons of its relative permanence; while flashbacks are transient, HPPD is persistent. As of today, there is still no cure available for HPPD. The main treatments attempt to reduce symptoms and distress without treating underlying causes, if you have HPPD you should seek professional treatment.


Borderline personality disorder


Borderline personality disorder is a mental health disorder that impacts the way you think and feel about yourself and others, causing problems fitting normally into everyday life. It includes self-image problems, difficulty managing emotions and behavior, and a pattern of unstable relationships.


With borderline personality disorder, you have a deep fear of abandonment or instability, and you may have difficulty tolerating being alone. However, inordinate anger, impulsivity and frequent mood swings can alienate others, even though you want to have loving and lasting relationships, so if you have borderline personality disorder you should go to therapy, usually this disorder begins at an early age.
