Prior use of hallucinogens by the person is necessary, though not sufficient, to diagnose someone with the disorder. As of today, there is still no cure available for HPPD. The main treatments attempt to reduce symptoms and distress without treating underlying causes, if you have HPPD you should seek professional treatment.
